Daniel H. Weiss is the founder and managing attorney of Weiss Law, PLLC, a Dallas-based firm concentrating in immigration law, criminal defense, and civil rights litigation.

Mr. Weiss previously served as Senior Counsel with Roy Petty & Associates, PLLC in Dallas. Before entering private practice, he served as Principal Deputy Chief Immigration Judge, helping oversee the nation’s 74 immigration courts. Earlier in his judicial career, he was appointed by Attorney General Loretta Lynch in 2016 as an Immigration Judge and later served as Assistant Chief Immigration Judge for the Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, and Arlington Immigration Courts.

Prior to his judicial service, Mr. Weiss spent 16 years in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He first served as Deputy Chief of the Special Litigation Section, directing nationwide institutional reform litigation involving police departments and correctional facilities. He later served as a Senior Trial Attorney, prosecuting complex human trafficking and civil rights cases throughout the United States.
