Segun Moses Okegbile is a graduate student in the department’s Archaeology PhD program. His dissertation research will focus on ancient human-environment interactions and adaptation strategies in West Africa, particularly through the lens of zooarchaeology. He us especially interested in reconstructing past environments using faunal remains and integrating techniques such as mesowear analysis, stable isotope analysis, and ZooMS to understand dietary patterns and landscape use over time.
