Bloomberg Law:

Shane Goodwin writes on Dell and Exxon moves to Texas. "The easiest story to tell about Dell Technologies Inc.’s pending shareholder vote to redomesticate is that another major company wants to leave Delaware for Texas. That story isn’t wrong, but it’s incomplete.

The better story is that Texas corporate law isn’t a single package, it’s a menu. And the two most important companies now testing that menu—Exxon Mobil Corporation and Dell—are ordering very different things."

Bloomberg:

Shane Goodwin served as an expert witness in the federal government’s landmark U.S. v. Google antitrust trial, offering testimony on the risks of forced divestitures in digital markets. Drawing on his expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance, Goodwin argued that compelled structural remedies could devalue assets and destabilize competition rather than restore it. His analysis underscores the ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Corporate Governance Initiative’s growing national influence at the intersection of law, regulation, and market policy.

Fortune:

Shane Goodwin served as a Governance Advisor to Tesla’s Special Committee in developing Elon Musk’s historic performance-based compensation plan. In his Fortune commentary, Goodwin highlighted that the package exemplifies rigorous, shareholder-aligned governance by tying Musk’s rewards solely to ambitious market and operational milestones. His role underscores ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox’s leadership in shaping best practices at the intersection of executive accountability, innovation, and long-term value creation.
