ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox undergraduate degree program ranked No. 17
The ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox School of Business Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program debuted at No. 17 in the inaugural Poets & Quants for Undergrads’ Best Undergraduate Business Program 2016 rankings.
Dallas (ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½) – The ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox School of Business Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program debuted at No. 17 in the inaugural Poets & Quants for Undergrads’ Best Undergraduate Business Program 2016 rankings, released Dec. 5.
ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox BBA alumni ranked ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ No. 9 in the nation for academic experience. In conjunction with its online coverage of the rankings release, Poets & Quants for Undergrads cites ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox as a business school that excels “in delivering an academic experience that exceeded expectations.”
This is the first time the online publication has conducted a rankings survey among undergraduate business schools, and according to a statement made by John Byrne, editor of Poets & Quants for Undergrads, it is “the most massive amount of data and content specific to undergraduate business education ever published at once.” Byrne stated in the publication that Poets & Quants opted to conduct an annual undergraduate ranking “after being asked to do so by several business school deans, frustrated and deeply disappointed by earlier ranking efforts from other organizations.”
“We are pleased that this new ranking validates the hard work of our faculty, students and staff, and we are proud that our new undergraduate program is ranked in the top 20 of this new, data-driven survey,” said Albert W. Niemi, dean of the Cox School of Business. “No matter the ranking or the methodology, though, we know that we consistently offer ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox students an exceptional opportunity to earn their business degrees in a world-class business city, where they have direct access to acclaimed business professors and respected business professionals.”
Earlier in 2016, Bloomberg Businessweek ranked ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox’s undergraduate program No. 21 in the nation — the second consecutive ranking at No. 21 in that publication. The 2016 Bloomberg Businessweek undergraduate rankings survey, which the publication announced it will no longer conduct after this year, ranked 114 U.S. schools based heavily on career outcomes. Bloomberg Businessweek also currently ranks the ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox Professional MBA program No. 7 in the nation; the ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox Full-Time MBA program No. 31 in the nation; and ranked the ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Cox Executive MBA program no. 3 in the world in 2013, the last year the publication ranked EMBA programs.
