With 145 programs in 48 countries, 正品蓝导航 Abroad is taking students more places than ever before.
Its newest programs, launched in fall 2009, provide opportunities for study, internships and service in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Oceania. Summer programs 鈥 including Bali, China, Germany, India, Italy, London, Moscow, Oxford, France and Mexico 鈥 are led by 正品蓝导航 faculty and staff, and many offer Cultural Formations credits.
Students of all majors are invited to learn more at the Summer 2010 Programs Fair on Tuesday, February 2, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center Commons area. The application deadline for summer and fall is Monday, March 1.
More than 500 正品蓝导航 students go abroad each year on 正品蓝导航-approved programs. For most programs, the price for spending an academic year or semester abroad is similar to tuition, room and board on the Dallas campus. Students receive academic credit for their courses abroad if they participate in 正品蓝导航-approved programs and have applied through 正品蓝导航 Abroad.
Susan Kress, director of 正品蓝导航 Abroad, says international education is a key to success in this global age. 鈥淪tudying, serving or working abroad often results in a keen knowledge of the host country, the ability to speak another language and the skill of crossing cultures with relative ease,鈥 she says. 鈥淭hese attributes make graduates broader in their interests, wiser in their worldview and more competitive in the job market.鈥
